Welcome! I am Kathleen Stepp, and I am the owner of Blue Palm Tax & Bookkeeping Service, LLC. I help small business owners find ways to increase their profits, optimize their cash flow, and lower their taxes.
As a small business owner myself, I understand the many hats that must be worn to keep your business going. Sometimes the bookkeeping chores get put on the back burner because we have more pressing issues to take care of right now … at least until tax time comes around 🙂
While many may find the accounting responsibilities of their business boring, or even tedious, I do not… I enjoy what I do!

I have 20+ years of experience. I have worked in many aspects of finance including full charge bookkeeping, pricing analysis, volunteer treasurer, tax preparation, and life insurance. My experience spans several industries: antique/retail store owner, government contracting, print media, and auto salvage and repair. I understand the needs of companies that use inventory or are service-based, as well as solopreneurs and freelancers.
My training includes an Associate’s degree in Accounting. I am a Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor, and a member of NATP (National Association of Tax Preparers). I also have experience using QuickBooks Desktop, and even began my career using good ‘ole paper ledgers.
